Since its creation at the University of Missouri in 1969, Rock-a-thon has become an AEPi tradition across the country. After countless hours spent rocking, raising money, and having fun for the past three years, Alpha Epsilon Pi at The University of Texas at Austin is ready to keep on rocking! At the beginning of the semester, our brothers elected Jonathan Shaham
as the representative from our chapter to rock back and forth for 24 hours straight. The main stage will have speakers, information regarding donations and the work done by the B+ Foundation, music, and so many more activities spanning the entire day!
Proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to The Arthur McDonough B+ Foundation, an organization dedicated to ending childhood cancer. In order to accomplish this mission, they provide financial assistance to families and children with cancer, fund research to find a cure, all while raising awareness for their cause. If you would like to know more about this fantastic organization visit their website http://bepositive.org/
We are partnering with Euphoria ATX
to bring you a great music lineup including Midnight Archives
, The History Department
, and Chief Perch
! Check them out directly after kickoff on the main stage.
The Fourth Annual Rock-A-Thon will begin on November 7th at 7 pm and rock on for 24 hours. The event will be hosted on the West Mall located on the University of Texas at Austin Campus. Additionally, UT campus organizations will join us in the event by rocking all around campus. Throughout the 24 straight hours of rocking, the brothers of AEPi will solicit donations by canning across the city of Austin. Last year we raised roughly over $9,500 and this year we are setting a goal of $30,000. If you would like to help us achieve our goal, please donate using the link below:
