Richard Linklater's take on the last day of school in 1976 and the teen cliques that populate a small Texas town could have easily succumbed to teen movie clichés, but his honest approach and what feels like effortless execution makes DAZED AND CONFUSED a genuine and honest portrait of its time and place.
That's most likely because it's a deeply personal film for Linklater, a fact that shines through in every scene. Also, the talented young cast, now a who's-who of actors, helps anchor the film and makes it something truly special
